  • Early Tuesday Morning...

I set my clock about 20 minutes early to make myself get up early. It will work for a couple of days until I begin to learn to cheat the system. We have decided to keep the laptop computer out of the bedroom and not turn on the television too. All in hopes for a better sleep and well... you know... less distractions more love'in! Haaa... So far? Not bad. Especially the past few days. Lets be real, 12 years of marriage and things can sometimes become too relaxed and so this little change is actually working I think!

I had every intention of painting the ceiling last night. Except last night was Monday and I was so very tired and unmotivated from working at the office. Monday's are always hard. Yesterday was more busy than most. My coworker was out and both the bosses were in and I was catching up on a bunch of emails and stuff. Didn't get much time to really do anything. I ate 3 scrambled eggs around 3:00 in the afternoon for my breakfast-lunch and then just skipped dinner all together. Oh! Don't be too concerned- I did manage to eat some olives, two pieces of cheese, and drink a glass of milk. I am really concentrating on loosing these next 10 pounds and so far it seems to be working- but slowly. I must keep reminding myself that it took 20 some years to put this weight on and that taking it off in a couple of weeks is a lot to expect. Right now? I am stuck at 134. Not bad I suppose. One of the guys upstairs said to me out of know where- if I had lost weight. I will tell you. I was thrilled! It is nice to have someone notice. It happed a few weeks back too when someone in the office who I see once in a blue moon- asked me the same question. Funny thing about that was I was recording it on my little camera while in the throws of a thunderstorm. Nothing like catching a moment like that on video.

So onward I work- staying away from carbs, eating protein, not eating a lot come to think of it. Less is more! Smaller proportions work nicely as well as reading labels for calories and carbs. All of this seems to work. Oh! Don't get me wrong! If I see a strawberry or raspberry I will eat it. Mostly I will take just a bite of the bad things and give the rest to Thomas! Good for me but not so good for him! Haaa! And so one last thing needs to fall into place and that is exercise. I need more exercise. Have not been to the gym since March. (Yes- all the weight has come off through just altering my diet). The only way I see myself getting down to 118 pounds is through exercise. I just need to find a place to fit it in.

Tonight I need to get into the room and finish painting the ceiling and painting the trim. I think tonight. Ha! I mean- I NEED TO FINISH IT- tonight!

Okay then, I better get moving and get myself to work.
    More about my life later...

  • Painting of the spare bedroom...

So I have been working for a few weeks on preparing to switch rooms around here at the Wynn household.
This little house was build in 1947 and have a lot of "charm" shall we say. The walls are a thick plaster and therefore uneven and temperamental. No no- don't get me wrong- I LOVE this... but it can make for some extra work when trying to remove wall paper from the 1960's or adhesive from the full wall mirror from the 1970's. Thomas removed the mirror a few months ago and I got rid of the paper from the wall the other week.

Tonight, I finished sanding the wall where that old stinky paper used to be and cleaned it up. Thomas broke down the rest of the items in the room, like the huge Ikea cabinet which went floor to ceiling. I rolled up the rug and he unhooked the computer. It is now temporarily covered in plastic and I am about to begin to paint. I do hope to have this finished by tomorrow. We shall see...

Earlier today we made a run to the country dump and cleared out an old huger broken mirror from the upstairs storage room. I know- we have had our share of broken mirrors. I can't say the thought of bad luck issues have crossed my mind. I wonder if this will have some weird effect? Haaa... I am going to try to not think about that... The dump was rather easy to navigate this Saturday afternoon. Usually it is very busy. We also got rid of an old mattress and some other weird things which have been taking up SO MUCH SPACE. After the dump we swung by this little Mexican place called Moe's- in Cockeysville. IT WAS SO GOOD! You know- nothing too Earth shattering- just your contemporary Southwest stuff- beans, meat in your choice of flour containers- but me- I had a meat salad. DAMN GOOD salad I may add. Well worth the try. Usually we find places which sort of suck, but this one was good. We then came home and worked a little.

So I am going to get moving to go start painting. Tomorrow it is our early trip to Einstein's in Towson for a break and then back to working in the spare bedroom.

I will upload the photos tomorrow for you to see...
Just wanted to check in and say hello.
    More in a few-

  • HAPPY Friday!
I think I love Friday's MORE than most- because these are my Studio days.
I woke up bright and early... (Well...because the cat snotted me in my mouth and woke me up damn it! haa!) and made a pot of coffee. Took a shower and then got dressed as if I was going to work at the office. I find this is the only way I can really put in %110 and not waste a day.
I watered my plants outside and now I can doing a little blogging and some emailing before I get to work.
Oh- don't get me wrong! I will add in a pinch of fun... I am going to the library to get some books (It has been like 2 years since I have gone! Eeek!) Then I am going to look for these great light-weight summer sweaters which I bought and loved... I hope I can find them again. They are great for evenings.

Then we are going to go out with Mr. and Mrs. Eaton for dinner! YUM!

AND for the rest of the weekend- Thomas and I are going to work on our BIKES! He bought a nifty cruiser and I have a nice simple mountain bike which needs cleaning! We are all set to get back to bike riding again... besides it being healthy and great exercise, it is totally inexpensive! Fun was to spend some time outside without spending a million dollars.

Finally- I will get back to working on rearranging the house and setting up the office upstairs. I am ready to paint the new tiny bedroom too. So my weekend is set...

I think we will round out Sunday with our usual trip to Einstein's in Towson and return to work in the house. If it is not too hot- maybe we will take the scooter.

    Ahhhh... weekends!

  • Hello~!
    WOW- Wednesday already?
Oh how time is flying. I am happy that the weekend is coming quickly- but you see- I have  to get done!
Uuugh- I love deadlines but it can be so hard to be creative on command!
    Take for instance, this:

This is my silly devil for an upcoming project-
before I painted his suit and put him in his workshop.
I am working on touch-ups and Thomas is taking some photos before I can call it finished.
It is for a chapter in a book which a lovely author is working on.
    FUN- yes...
However- this is the last thing I really have to do before I get ready for the
BIG VENTING EVENT AT ARTSTAR! In Philly
    .

They moved to a lovely new location and this even is going to be really fun!
I am thrilled to be a part of it. I will be selling a lot of my one of a kind things like
my Octopus pendants, Wisdom tooth necklaces, Cicadas, Bees, Jellyfish, Furry-touchie pendants,
as well as a MILLION weird and perfect plexi-pieces, rings, prints, original little sketches, MY BOOK~ and more.
ALSO! Yamanote! Is joining my table to show some of her LOVELY Wares as well~! I hope she will join me for one of the days?

So this should be fun! I will have a table and a tent!
I will be with BELLS on!
SO Thrilled to see you- meet you... open hand clap for you and preform all around silly displays of joy and happiness for you.
WEll- that is it for now. I shall update more in a little bit.

I know these things can be HIT or MISS- but between Thomas's bad back and my need to do lots of Sit-up types of exercises- I figured what the heck. I have been thinking about this for a few weeks (If not over a year or so in general) and when I found this particular machine- I read reviews and didn't just rush to buy it...

    Until tonight.
It should be here in a week or two~
Spring is here and Summer is coming and I JUST HATE my mid-section.

Also- I decided to cut back on eating meat. No~ I am not loosing my mind- I just want to try to make OTHER choices when it comes to choosing bad food. I tend to go for beef, lamb, and of course chicken and fish. Sure it also has a LOT to do about feeling terrible about eating little animals... I can't deny that. I HONESTLY have to say that whenever I do got to choose what to eat- I do think about what the fear that animal felt before and during its death. I just am having a touch time with this idea. Seriously. I think I would just rather to choose something like greens, potatoes, even light pasta over meat right now. I feel that there is so many things I am missing when I just choose something like meat dishes. Face it- Meat is a powerful taste and it over-shadows other foods...

Finally- I am sitting here listening to Larry King and those CRAZY ROBOT Polygamists... EEEK! Seriously these women need to grow a pair. They make me SO #$%^& Mad!
Take a look at this- Just something I came upon tonight while searching for more info:

It makes me truly wonder about the human mind.

Sorry- I have very little patience for this sort of thing- I was going to post my Rant- but I think you know where I stand on Religion, cults and breeding... So I shall spare you~ Haaa...

Okay- I better get moving- It is time for me to get to bed. Early day at work again tomorrow.
