Went to see my GYN today about some "Lady-Issues" I have had for the past 2years. Finally managed to return to this office to see her. Like a dummy I stopped going to see her years ago and well-I got dropped from her practice.

After having a not-so great time with my current GYN- I somehow by LUCK called her and begged them to let me know when an opening became available. Well TODAY was that day and I got to see her...And today...after a full exam, she said that I had a grapefruit size tumor growing inside...Yes...a tumor!

The PAIN IN MY BACK for the past 2 weeks-is suspected to be because of this Monster pressing on a nerve. So when a doctor tells you that your pain you are having...is just in your head like my past GYN has been telling me for 2yrs and that all of these symptoms are all a part of "getting older and Welcome to being 40" you need to get a second opinion. Oh-yes-I did get a second opinion from my GP who agreed with his opinion...

It wasn't until I went again...did I find this answer. It's called "trusting your intuition" which I wasn't doing. I knew something was wrong and I know that the pain I was feeling wasn't menstrual cramps.

Anyway-I am strangely THRILLED about all of this. I am sure it is not cancer it is just a giant tumor and it will either be shrunk or if it is too big-it will be removed...Either way-it will go away.

So in the meantime. I am going to give my Tumor a name! I am going to draw illustrations of what it looks like-tiny tumor portraits! Heck I will even knit it a "Tumor Cozy" or a tiny sweater! HA! I am FULL of Dark Humor. It is what it is-and I am so glad I went to have this checked out...

IF you have something that you think JUST ISN'T RIGHT? Something that is nagging at you-PLEASE go get it check and recheck until you know for sure that you are okay...Trust your inside voice.
