  • Finding writings which move me...

"I love dusks and dawns the way I love springs and falls,
times of transition and drama, never black or white,
never simple, like the sledgehammer feel of

stepping out into a 95 degree day when the humidity begs the sky
for a thunderstorm and the locusts add their Greek chorus of chants and buzzing.

Or the beauty of getting up in the middle of the night and seeing a full moon
own the surrounding blackness of the sky, but with no compromise with sunlight."

Okay, seriously. I hate this "new" (yes, I know it's not that new) homepage. I find stuff gets lost really easily if you don't check it all the time. Somehow I completely missed your last million posts and feel like an ass.

HOW ARE YOU??? Recovering? Happy to have it over with? I've been thinking good thoughts for you and - possibly prematurely - looking forward to you and T coming to visit this spring. I was SO pleased to see you on the tumblr. I'm excited to share the new apartment with you, since I'm certain you'll have valuable advice (and since I know our decorating aesthetics, if not identical, absolutely overlap). I loved your Christmas pictures.

Okay - I'm at work and should be commenting at all, but I couldn't wait for one more second. Hope you're well distracted.
All my love to you and T.

  • That first shot reminded me of fire! So glad things are going well with the recovery. :)
